Dissolve Gas Analyser (Transformer Oil Gas Analyser)

CSL has designed a simple and inexpensive unit , Model CSL-DGA-492 for transformer oil dissolved gas analysis. The system consist of :  Gas Extraction unit, Gas Chromatographic Unit, Calibration system and other accessories

Price : $ 5000/-

Gas Extraction Unit : The dissolved gases in the transformer oil are extracted in heated condition (80-90º C) in vacuum. The oil is also stirred during extraction by employing a magnetic stirrer. This system completely extracts the gases dissolved in the transformer oil. The volume of the extracted gas is measured.

Gas Chromatographic Analyser :

A portion of the gas is injected in to a GC specially tailored for this analysis. It consists of  a FID and a TCD with suitable columns. All the constituent gases such as methane, ethane, ethylene, acetylene, propane, propylene are separated and detected by the FID, CO and CO2  are converted to CH4 by a methanator unit and detected by FID. H2 is detected by the TCD using Argon as the carrier gas. Three injections are required to complete the analysis. First injection will separate the gases such as methane, ethane,  ethylene, propane, acetylene. In the second injection CO and CO2 is converted to methane by a methanator and then detected by FID.  The third injection will be for H2 employing the TCD. The time required for complete analysis is approximately 12-15 minutes.

Calibration System and Accessories :

Calibration gas standard is required for calibration of the unit. We offer two gas cylinders. One consists of Hydro carbon mixture and the other CO, CO2 and H2 mixtures.  CSL offer complete system with Calibration Gases, carrier gas alongwith the Gas Extraction unit and Chromatographic unit. We also undertake the analysis of DGA in our lab.
